Morning Prayers

I pray with Elli before I take her into preschool, but lately, she has taken over the praying. Wednesday she prayed this, "Thank you Jesus for today. Help me to obey and share. And thank you for the ideas you give me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen." When was the last time I thanked God for the ideas He gives me? Maybe never. Thank you Ellianna, for reminding me that even the ideas in my head are from above!

Preach it Elli! I needed that. I am working on a paper right now and I was just thinking how clever my outline was, and just made me pause. Did I 'really' come up with that one on my own... yeah, definitely didnt. Someday, after I have had kids for a while Im going to write an article on Child Theology, because I think it is sometimes the best!

For instance: A little boy walks into his daddy's office and sees all his books on the Bible, and says, "Wow daddy, you must know a lot!" And his dad told him how he doesn't but that these guys who wrote do and that's why he reads them all. Then his son said, "Dad, what is the most important thing you know?" And after gathering his jaw that hit the ground, realizing the profundity of the question, he went on to explain the great news of the Gospel.

So I take this, and I say with Paul, "I just want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection AND the fellowship of his sufferings". Thanks for your thoughts Lori! See ya soon!
