Thanksgiving Day, Nov 25th, 2010

Luka and Wesley. They are so sweet!
Look at these little turkeys:)
Sleeping their way through Thanksgiving.

Leah didn't feel up to taking these one week old precious babies out and about with lots of people, so we took dinner to them:) We can put together a great meal in two days, turkey included:)
First holiday as a family. Super sweet:)

Happy Thanksgiving

One platter of turkey cookies. She is proud of them though she didn't help all that much. She is a good watcher and encourager too:)
Elli lost interest about 5 minutes in. We made one cookie and then it was too long for her to wait on the rest:) She did enjoy eating extra icing, pretzels and candy corn though!
I searched high and low to find candy corn to make these turkey cookies. CVS had a few bags left over. So, Elli and I decided to make the cookies for Thanksgiving.
At church, we got cards and suggestions for random acts of kindness. Ours said to make a dessert for our mailman. We put a couple cookies in a bag and left them in the mailbox. Elli was waiting for the mailman and then decided to pray. She prayed, "God, please help the mailman to arrive safely to our house. Help the rain to stop. Help the mailman to know you." I may have a little missionary on my hands:)

Operation Christmas Child

I love to see the kids take their boxes up to the front of the church. Elli was excited to pack her box this year. She even prays for the kids who might get her box. What a great lesson to teach our little ones.
Aunt Heather met Elli coming back and gave her a box to take up too. Elli thought that was pretty cool to take another box up.
Elli and Madilynn were waiting patiently in the aisle for the time to come to take their boxes up to the front. So sweet.
Caleb, Elli, Lydia and Lydia waiting to go into Kids Town at church. Elli loves this part and often sings the songs on the way home. So sweet. I love that our church is teaching our little ones to Praise Jesus all day long:)

The twins come home, Nov. 20

Gonga holding sweet little Luka.
Luka was very tired after eating a good dinner and filling his diaper:)
Papa holding Wesley.
Wesley is sleeping on Brent after his dinner.
Welcome home O'Connor family.
We were waiting for Matt, Leah, Luka and Wesley when they arrived home. Look how incredibly small these babies look in their car seats. They were so snuggly in there though. I cannot wait to help them get acquainted with all their new surroundings. Elli of course was waiting with open arms and washed hands:)

More of the twins in their second day of life

Wesley, Luka. Are they the cutest little guys ever?
I love you my brother. I was thrilled to get to stick around for their photo shoot today. Look how sweet those faces are. They really seem to love each other.
Little Luka.
Luka loves to be snuggled as well. Especially in these warm and soft blankets.

Daddy getting in on the snuggle time with little Wesley. Wesley reached up and grabbed his nose at one point.
Wesley sleeping for this shot:)

Poor little guy. He does NOT like to be undressed or uncovered. He was waiting on me to change his diaper. Just after this shot was taken he let loose with his cries:)

Wesley is so sleepy, he is not waking up enough to eat, so the lactation consultant was trying to make him a little mad so he might eat:)

Leah snuggling with Luka after he ate.

Wesley quietly sleeping in my arms.
Luka with his bright eyes. What an absolute doll:)

Christmas Decorations, Crazy Outfit, Twins

Elli saw me wearing this white sweater today and she said she wanted to be twins with me. So, we went to her closet and got her white sweater too. This happened the morning the twins were born:)
Our new mantel decorations. Brent's idea, our shopping, my arranging. Looks pretty good.

We wanted all the Christmas decorations up so we wouldn't have to worry about it when the twins got here. Elli was very excited to help put the ornaments on.

Elli ran up to her room while we were decorating to change her clothes. She came down in this stretched out swimsuit and tutu and began dancing to Christmas music.

Yes, a different outfit still while decorating the other tree. Again, she was a lot of help and had fun choosing where to hang her special ornaments.

Meet the Twins!!!

This is sweet Luka.
Leah is holding the most precious little guys you have ever met! She is very proud as she should be.

Great grandma so proud.

Auntie Cheryl with her new great nephews:)
This is Wesley. So adorable.

These sweet boys love each other and seem to like being near each other. In this picture they had just finished getting a bath. Matt placed them next to each other when they were crying and they both stopped. I love them!

The proud Aunt Heather and Uncle Gary!

Gonga and Papa with their new grandbabies and their sweet granddaughter:)

Family picture with these babies:)

Elli is showing Wesley the new sock monkey he wanted her to have. She only hit him twice!

This is a very happy family. Leah is very tired since she didn't get much sleep, but so excited to have her new baby boys. She is holding Wesley, Matt is holding Luka.
Wesley weighed 5 lbs 14 oz, born at 11:47 am and Luka weighed 6 lbs 4 oz, born at 12:11pm. They were both 19 1/2 in long. So sweet.

Elli and Fergi

Elli wants a sister or brother very badly. For now, Fergi has filled the role. Fergi barely puts up with Elli and sometimes yips or snips, but Elli is not easily stopped. Elli puts sweaters on Fergi, pushes her in the stroller, walks and runs her around the house, puts her down for naps, feeds her, and countless other things. This is a picture of Fergi waiting patiently for Elli to finish breakfast so they can continue playing:) I was feeling sad for Fergi becasuse she often has her tail between her legs and looks at me with this look you see here which says, "Please rescue me," but yesterday Elli ran an errand with Brent and Fergi layed down by the garage door waiting for them to get back.

Any room for me in there?

Elli sleeps in her toddler bed which is her crib converted into a bed. I am not sure how she does it, but last night when I put her in bed, she joined 17 stuffed animals! She is the sweetest little girl who loves animals, including her stuffed ones. My Aunt Cheryl made the point that she loves to be surrounded by people when she is awake, so why not be surrounded when she sleeps:)

Bounce U, Nov. 1

Elli on the big slide.
We had so much fun going down this slide with Elli. We also had fun going down by ourselves, with other kids and just watching the kids squeal as they went down.

Look at that smile. She squealed nearly every time she went down. It was fun to watch her and Madilynn go down together. They were having so much fun!
The children's program at church rented out Bounce U. It was so much fun. I think the adults were playing as much as the kids:) We truly had a great time playing not only with Elli but with a lot of the sweet kids we go to church with.
