Pumpkin Carving

So serious and hard at work:)  A happy Frankenstein is emerging.
Working on a haunted house carving.
The dads and kids.  Good job on thise pumpkins.
The finished products.
Rayna was especially interested in tasting the pumpkins.

Micah getting a good laugh at Brent.  Brent is really good at making him laugh.  He gets going and going:)  Love his little giggle.

BOO

Micah is 4 1/2 months old.  This outfit is 7 years old:)  I bought it for Caleb Masters when he was a baby, then Elli wore it, the Madilynn, then Cody, and now Micah.  The Fergusons and Masters have gotten great use out of this cute BOO:)
Micah looks surprised, surprised?  Cute pic with he and Sherry.
Elli and I spent last evening making a new pumpkin for Trick-or Treating.  She did a great job.
We have been working on a new word, "pity."  We threw away the other pumpkin she had been using the past couple of years because it was broken.  She said, "I pity the other pumpkin."  Love using new words:)

We love our Fridays with Leah and the boys

Elli got the playdough out.  It is messy, but pretty fun.
The boys love to have a "bite, bite!"  So, when Elli wanted some popcorn, I had two little boys in my lap waiting for their bites.  I also perfected the bribery tactic with them.  Wesley drank his milk and they both laid down to get changed with the promise of more popcorn:)

1st Grade Halloween Party

We planned for a pumpkin hunt outside but it was cold and rainy.  So we "hid" the pumpkins inside the old gym and let the kids find the one with their name on it.  Then they all used markers and drew fun pictures and faces on them.
 Elli's had sunglasses on it.
Elli's class with their pumpkins and in the costumes.  Fun afternoon.

One beautiful Fall Day, Oct 25th

Well, Micah was just being sweet inside for a while:)
Before raking the leaves from our one tree.
After rakign the leaves from our one tree.
Ready, set, go!!!!!
 Emilee's turn.
And more jumps:)  We do this each year and our pile of leaves gets bigger every year.
It was about 77 degrees so we decided to spend as much time outside as possible.  We played in the leaves, swung on swings, and then decided to go to the Pumpkin Barn one last time this season.  We got pumpkins for each of the kids in Elli's class for the Halloween Party the next day.  The next day it was only about 50 degrees and rainy, so we were really glad we could take advantage of the beautiful day.

Oct 18-20 Hocking Hills Cabin with the Fergusons

We arrived at 3:00 the afternoon of Friday the 18th.  We spent our first couple of hours outside on the porch and around the cabin.
I think this picture is sweet.  Micah is such an easy going happy little guy, much like his daddy.  They look quite a bit alike too.
We had some crazy moment with this crew, but what a blessing they each are to this family.  Cannot wait to see them interact with each other and grow together over the years, even if time and distance separate us.
Our first hike on Saturday was to Rock House.  The walk was not hard, but the weather was turning ugly.  We got quite soaked on the way back:)
Family picture.  I forgot my moby so I held Micah who slept this whole hike to Old Man's Cave.  My arms were aching and shaking when we were done:)  Aria and Rayna were quite happy in the carriers.  Elli and Seth were great little hikers.
 Family picture.
The happy ocuple celebrating 38 years of marriage this weekend.  They alo both turned 60 this summer which is why we all went to the cabin.  To celebrate by spending time together.  Linda said she wanted family time and Larry said he wanted to go camping:)  Perfect!!!!!
Queen of the mountain:)  She had a lot of fun in this spot just climbing on all the rocks.
We loved this tree.  Such pretty colors this weekend.
Native Americans.  Elli was very interested, but Seth didn't really want anything to do with getting his picture taken.
Saturday night was much better than the day time.  We were able to have a delicious dinner by the fire.  Jenna made some hobo pies for us and brought smores for dessert.  It was fun eating, talking, and laughing together.
Seth was getting a little sleepy.  Nana was happy to snuggle.
One last night for the hot tub.  It wasn;t too hot for Elli and Seth who treated it like a swimming pool.
We had a great weekend together.  In fact, we may be up for this again:)

Disney on Ice, Oct 18, 2012

Elli requested a snow cone in a Cinderella cup.  Why Not?
We left Micah with mom and took just Elli.  She enjoyed the attention.  We did too.
We saw our friends, Catherine, Anna, Caroline, nd Claire sitting a few rows in front of us.  Can you tell they also had snow cones?
The show was great.  Lots of our top disney stories were featured and it ended with all the princesses!

Popcorn, Slumber Party, Teaching

Brent bought popcorn seeds from the boy scouts so I bought a hot air popper.  Elli was so very excited.
Elli had a day off, Oct 15th, and Lily spent the night.  They had such a great time.
They went with me to my class the next day.  Elli read the book she wrote this past summer and then my students taught these girls some math.  I loved having Elli with me.

Sweetness

 Sweet boy with his Papa.
Sweet little baby all wrapped up in one of Elli's bunny towels.
He sleeps with his arms right by his sides.
Happy boy on his tummy.   Look at those little arm rolls.

The Pumpkin Barn, Oct 13, 2012

 My little Punkins snuggling up.
 Sweet girl, Elli.
Elli, Micah and I joined Kyle, Meg, Seth, Rayna, Ginger, Barry, Heather, Evan, and Sayja at the Pumpkin Barn.  We went on a hayride, picked out pumpkins, played with cats, went through a corn maze, and many other fun things.
Elli and Seth were enjoying watching the big tractor wheels.
Elli was not in the mood for smiling with her little brother, but he was not into smiling either:)

Oct 12, Just Hangin Out

Micah and Brent watching a little golf.
Micah getting really good at holding his head up while in the bumbo.
The twins sure do love coming to Aunt Lori's house.
 Dad and Elli, so serious!
Wesley and Luka getting a little snuggle time with Mommy.Papa
Papa playing cars with these sweet little guys.  One day, Micah will join, I am sure!
