We arrived at 3:00 the afternoon of Friday the 18th. We spent our first couple of hours outside on the porch and around the cabin.
I think this picture is sweet. Micah is such an easy going happy little guy, much like his daddy. They look quite a bit alike too.
We had some crazy moment with this crew, but what a blessing they each are to this family. Cannot wait to see them interact with each other and grow together over the years, even if time and distance separate us.
Our first hike on Saturday was to Rock House. The walk was not hard, but the weather was turning ugly. We got quite soaked on the way back:)
Family picture. I forgot my moby so I held Micah who slept this whole hike to Old Man's Cave. My arms were aching and shaking when we were done:) Aria and Rayna were quite happy in the carriers. Elli and Seth were great little hikers.
Family picture.
The happy ocuple celebrating 38 years of marriage this weekend. They alo both turned 60 this summer which is why we all went to the cabin. To celebrate by spending time together. Linda said she wanted family time and Larry said he wanted to go camping:) Perfect!!!!!
Queen of the mountain:) She had a lot of fun in this spot just climbing on all the rocks.
We loved this tree. Such pretty colors this weekend.
Native Americans. Elli was very interested, but Seth didn't really want anything to do with getting his picture taken.
Saturday night was much better than the day time. We were able to have a delicious dinner by the fire. Jenna made some hobo pies for us and brought smores for dessert. It was fun eating, talking, and laughing together.
Seth was getting a little sleepy. Nana was happy to snuggle.
One last night for the hot tub. It wasn;t too hot for Elli and Seth who treated it like a swimming pool.
We had a great weekend together. In fact, we may be up for this again:)
